Here comes our topic 5 for blog assignment. This assignment is about what's the differences between the term obscenity, pornography and indecency.
From my understanding; indecent is improper manner or impolite act.For example, someone is picking up his nose in front of you and he doesn't mind at you being there at all.
While obscenity is more unopprortune manner than indecent or very rude and offensive act either it is act or word.Indecent and obscenity can sometimes be related to pornography as we in Malaysia see pornography as something as indecent.
Pornography, from my understanding; is a writings, films or any media that contains explicit sexual nature or something that contains erotic can also be consider as pornography as well.

Blog assignment topic 4
What is Media Literacy and why is it important for you as FCM students to have it?
Media literacy is the ability to sift through and analyze the messages that inform, entertain and sell to us everyday. It's the ability to bring critical thinking skills to bear on all media— from music videos and Web environments to product placement in films and virtual displays on NHL hockey boards. It's about asking pertinent questions about what's there, and noticing what's not there. And it's the instinct to question what lies behind media productions— the motives, the money, the values and the ownership— and to be aware of how these factors influence content.

From my understanding, Media Literacy is how we understand and how we interpret the media such as,what they want to say and what they want us to understand.
Why is it important for FCM student to have it? it is simply because FCM student must be able to think out of the box.Media Literacy is so important because FCM student will be creating the media. Therefore, we must understand what is media before we create it..
Personal reflection on the class.
There's a funny comparing men and women on media.I'm enjoying the class even though I forgot what I have learnt that day.=__="

Blog assignment 3:Media Stereotype
Blog assignment 3 about Media Stereotype
Please read through this interesting article on media stereotype: http://web.media.mit.edu/~ayah/MediaTheories/
Give a very short basic explanation of what media stereotype is? (Keep it short please!) From your personal experience, what other media stereotype (besides the example from the article) you have seen either on TV or in the movies?
Media stereotypes are inevitable, especially in the advertising, entertainment and news industries, which need as wide an audience as possible to quickly understand information. Stereotypes act like codes that give audiences a quick, common understanding of a person or group of people—usually relating to their class, ethnicity or race, gender, sexual orientation, social role or occupation.

PERSONAL EXPERIENCE
Based on my personal experience on media stereotype,in conjunction with my sports activities I always find that; if the movie is about basketball then it will certainly involve black people or african-american.They portray that they are the best in that sport and no one can beats them like the movie Glory Road and similar genre movies.
Also, if the movie is regarding ice hockey, the movie is always about the winter country and the people in the country are all the best player in the world.
The other media stereotype that i find is; if the movie is from america, they will always portray that the american are all great and are admired from all around the world. The heros in the movie will keep all the good and the for the bad things, it will always happen to the villains. Also, the heros can do the bad things as if it is a good thing and get away with it and even if the villain is already redeemed themself they will get punished again just because they are evil.
Also, if the movie is about dancing, african-american is always the best dancers and american will always try to compete with them.

Blog assignment on topic 2
Do you often take what is on the Internet as truth without thinking much about it? If yes, why? If no,why? Discuss this in your own words.
Sometimes yes, because my friends recommended the site to me.But to me, we shouldn't just believe because it from "official" web site.I usually will servey with people first before i decided to believe what internet says because we never know who write it.It might be some cyber criminal who wants to brain wash people around the world.Because right now, some people depend on the internet to survive by post up some nonsense to make people to believe what ever they write to whoever regardless age, race and where they live because we can go around the world with just a single click of a button.
Personally I think, to believe what so ever on the internet, we should compare the information's between the websites but one or two websites won't do anything to prove they are right. We should find out who wrote that, on what day and does it same with other informations? also, if it happen to be that your friend is a superstar then to know the truth we should ask him directly.Figure out who wrote that and find information about him whether he is trustworthy and the information he wrote about it is valid or not
This week on Mlc class
It's a little noisy but it was an interesting topic and it caught my eyes on the screen. The reason I say that because it takes a lot of effort for me to concentrate in the class but the topic this week was very interesting especially about the effect of media on people. War Of The World.. Alien coming to visit us..X)

Social media
Social media on my critical reflection.
If a media that is useful, easy to use and can entertain us, The media will create a community that connect all people around the globe. The media as internet change my life as a student a lot as I always search on the net to understand my assignment and in the same time it help me to make friend with other people around the world also sharing my idea and exchange thought and point of view on interest topics. I also can improve my skills such as drawing skill by posting my artworks on deviantart or my blog or learn via internet like I learn how to skate on the ice in the youtube.
And how it effect other people around me? well, it bring our friendship closer and help us to know each other better and it is a surprise when we figure out how much we are actually the same. Moreover,it help to make a better community as other people give their own opinion to make a creative community
Media Culture class
The class is great and the teaching is good and quite easy to understand but the classroom is a bit small and feel stuffed a little bit also the week 4 learning on the type of media is kinda cool.
