What is Media Literacy and why is it important for you as FCM students to have it?
Media literacy is the ability to sift through and analyze the messages that inform, entertain and sell to us everyday. It's the ability to bring critical thinking skills to bear on all media— from music videos and Web environments to product placement in films and virtual displays on NHL hockey boards. It's about asking pertinent questions about what's there, and noticing what's not there. And it's the instinct to question what lies behind media productions— the motives, the money, the values and the ownership— and to be aware of how these factors influence content.

From my understanding, Media Literacy is how we understand and how we interpret the media such as,what they want to say and what they want us to understand.
Why is it important for FCM student to have it? it is simply because FCM student must be able to think out of the box.Media Literacy is so important because FCM student will be creating the media. Therefore, we must understand what is media before we create it..
Personal reflection on the class.
There's a funny comparing men and women on media.I'm enjoying the class even though I forgot what I have learnt that day.=__="
